Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes Yukon or Russet work best
  • 2 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup vegan mayo (we like Sir Kensington's)
  • 4 tbsp capers
  • 6 radishes
  • 4 tbsp fresh dill (dried will work, but use less)
  • ½ lemon
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

Make the Fries

  • Preheat oven to 425°F
  • Scrub or peel potatoes and cut potatoes into wedges.
  • Toss with oil and Old Bay on ungreased baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper, as desired.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. Flip the fries and then bake for an additional 10 - 15 minutes, until lightly browned and crispy.

Make the Vegan Tartar Sauce

  • Add vegan mayo to a medium sized bowl.
  • Grate the radishes and chop the fresh dill. Add to the bowl with mayonnaise.
  • Add the capers and the juice from half a lemon.
  • Mix everything together. Taste, and then season with salt and pepper as desired.

Notes

Using red radishes will make the vegan tartar sauce slightly pink. You can blanche the radishes for less bleed, peel them, or use daikon or horseradish.
