Crispy Baked Tofu Bites

This 4 ingredient vegan recipe is easy to make and can be eaten as a snack, or thrown in as the protein in a variety of recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1 block extra firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450°F
  • Drain and rinse the tofu. Pat it dry with a paper towel. Cut into bite sized pieces.
  • Toss tofu, salt, and cornstarch together in a bowl, so that the tofu is only lightly coated with cornstarch.
  • Transfer tofu to a baking sheet, and coat with vegetable oil.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. Use a spatula to stir tofu on the pan.
  • Bake an additional 10 - 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve with a dipping sauce, use in a sandwich or throw into a rice or noodle dish.

Notes

You can add seasonings instead of/in addition to the salt! Try the tofu with black pepper, a steak seasoning blend, Korean red pepper powder, etc.
