Savory Piecrust Twists
Because sometimes you make too much pie dough.
Here we used the leftover pie dough from our Sun-Cheddar Apple Pie recipe to make a delicious snack.
Savory Piecrust Twists
Ingredients
- left over pie crust dough
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine leftover piecrust dough. Roll out to about ⅛'' thick.
- Cut into 1'' strips. Fold in any uneven edges, and then form into twists.
- Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes.
- Combine melted butter and garlic powder. Remove twists from oven and brush with the garlic butter mixture. Return to the oven and bake for about 15 – 25 more minutes, until the twists start to turn golden brown.
